Description
These are a delicate pair of 3″ embroidery scissors. They are my interpretation of a Victorian pair that I have in my collection but the Victorian pair were only a starting point and these are not a reproduction. Perfect for cutting threads close to your work and for snipping off the fraying edges of your favourite jumper that you refuse to throw out yet (an excellent excuse to do some decorative darning)
In keeping with the original, they are thin (only 3mm thick) and are extensively filed to create the form. I decided to use a plain steel this time to show the form – I frequently file Damascus steel scissors and love them in their pre-etched state.
