These scissors were inspired by the nested bow scissors that were popular in Persia in the mid 18th Century. The finger position is interesting and unusual to the Western eye but it’s totally practical and produces a slim dagger-like profile. They are designed as paper scissors.
They have extremely hollow ground blades which reduces the weight and creates dramatic patterning through the Damascus steel.
The scissors have been cut from a single piece of steel so that the pattern continues across all the parts including around the sides and across the bows.
