Sturdy little 90mm scissors made from 6mm thick Damascus steel with mid size finger bows. Perfect for small cutting uses, moustache trimming and the precise cutting of the ties that bind you. Using thicker material gave me the opportunity to play with the form on these scissors – filing away a lot of material and changing their character from just flat pieces.
They are made from Damascus steel that was handmade in London by Owen Bush; a striking diagonal pattern and very clear, dramatic colouring. I used my EDM technique to make these scissors so they were cut from the same place in the piece of steel…the pattern is continuous across the two halves of the scissor bows and across from one blade to the other.
